Spandan 2018: Football Match held between The International Boarding Schools in Mumbai
Day1 - Football The first day of football at Spandan 2018 in the Cathedral Vidya School, Lonavala was fitting for an event of this caliber. It started at nine in the morning with the Under 18 teams of Cathedral Vidya School Lonavala and Oberoi International School, Goregaon facing off against each other. The ball flew from one side to the other, only to be met with a wall of defensive players. Both sides showed great skill in their game. Neither team was better than the other, and the match ended in 1 – 1 tie. The Cathedral Vidya School, an IB world school Pune scored at the last minute to steal a stalemate from the jaws of defeat. Each match was played with similar gusto. Every player in every team showed their passion in smashing the ball from one goalpost to the other. The chants of every school echoed in the hills.
