In India, generally, post Grade 10 students join the Junior College and may also continue with Grade 11 and 12 as a part of the Higher Secondary school at their current institutions. The Abhivyakti commenced with four schools displaying their perception of #Spandan2018CVSL as a whole, via their surreal paintings. The schools were given pictures of various events and happenings of Spandan and were left with their creativity flowing through their minds for transforming their imagination into reality. The intensity of heat and the scorching sun did not burn the spirits of the artists. From bright to dark shades, the participants did not fail to brighten our days. While some participants delineated football, others portrayed Spandan as the overwhelming Gen-X fashion show. With palms painted green and to shirt with strokes of paint, the participants strived to achieve perfection. Nikhath Fatima – Middle School Coordinator Presenting the Indian Culture to people unfamiliar with its diversity is a daunting task. Where does one begin? The country has so much to offer; from different dialects spoken in remote hamlets to the Silicon Valley in the South there is so much to do, learn, observe, reflect and evaluate. To showcase the vibrant nature of this incredible country a Project called ‘Cultural India’ was explored by the students from Grade 4-8 at The Cathedral-Vidya School –  boarding school in Mumbai , India starting in April 2017. The best way to engage children was to inspire them to create and maintain a scrapbook almost like a beautiful travel brochure that would cover various elements from rulers and their administrations to art forms, cuisines and traditional attire.
